TOP comics are set to return to the Embassy Theatre in Skegness next week for the latest ‘Embassy Comedy Club’ evening.
MC Mark Oliver, and acts Sean Percival, Dan Wright and headliner Eddy Brimson will perform their hilarious stand-up on Thursday, March 22 at 8pm.
“Now established as a regular event in our comedy calendar, the Embassy Theatre, in association with ‘The Comedy Tea House’ is delighted to present the eighth of its Comedy Club nights,” said a spokesperson.
“Mark Oliver is a stand-up comedian and television warm-up artist.
“His television warm-up credits include ‘Vicar of Dibley’, ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, ‘10 O’Clock Live’, ‘Jonathon Ross’, ‘Have I Got News For You’ and ‘Deal or No Deal’.
“He also regularly comperes and headlines for comedy clubs and promoters all over the UK, including Off the Kerb, Avalon, Jongleurs and Highlights, and has supported acts such as Russell Howard and Lee Mack on national tours.”
“The opening act is Black Country comic Sean Percival.
“He’s an ex-welder from Dudley whose act is steeped in the traditions of the working men’s club circuit, but bang up to date with its upfront attitude.
“A festival favourite, he has performed at the Edinburgh, Glastonbury and Reading Festivals.
“Middle act Dan Wright is best known as one half of double act Electric Forecast, or to younger members of the public as “Small” in CBeebies favourite “Big Cook, Little Cook”.
“He is garnering an enviable reputation as a solo stand-up comedian, and we’re delighted to have him fill the middle slot.
“Headliner Eddy Brimson is one of the country’s most in demand headline acts, but has also penned seven best-selling books and appeared on TV in sitcoms, dramas and adverts for the best part of a decade,” they added.
Tickets cost £9 and can be bought by calling 0845 674 0505, via www.embassytheatre.co.uk or on the door. Online ticket purchases are subject to an extra £1 per ticket transaction fee. The gig is for over 18s only.
