Military Wives in Skeg gig

THE Wattisham Military Wives are set to bring their moving choir performances to Skegness this weekend.

“The Military Wives choir, whose album stormed to the top of the charts following their Christmas number one “Wherever You Are”, has now inspired a trend among the wives and girlfriends of British servicemen,” said a spokesperson.

“There are now 20 other similar groups on armed forces bases including the Military Wives Choir at Wattisham in Suffolk.

“The 35-strong choir was set up to support wives and girfriends through a shared love of singing.

“Recordings of their rehearsals have been sent out to their loved ones in Afghanistan and the choir meets weekly at the air base church where Michael Dann, their choirmaster, puts them through their paces.”

The show will take place on Saturday, October 13 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21 (£14 children). For information call 0845 674 0505.
