From today (Thursday, January 1, 2015) Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture assumes responsibility for managing and operating former District Council-run Leisure, Culture and Health facilities in East Lindsey.

It will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and continued development of the Embassy Theatre and Embassy Swimming Pool in Skegness, managing festivals and events, including SO Festival and Wolds Words; the district’s sports and arts development programmes and work with the County Council to provide health improvement programmes.

The charitable trust will look to access new funding to develop and improve services and will be governed by a Board of Trustees, including Chairman Ian Emmerson and Managing Director Mark Humphreys.
