Bursaries in heritage craftsmanship skills are being offered by Lincolnshire County Council and Lincoln Cathedral.
If you are good with your hands, have an eye for detail or fancy a career change, you could have what it takes to keep the county’s historical buildings looking their best.
Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the successful candidates will undergo an 18-month full-time training placement at Lincoln Cathedral and college.
The course will help them develop a range of specialist skills in brickwork, glazing, stonemasonry, joinery and lead work.
Lincolnshire County Council tourism and visitor economy officer Amanda Davey said: “It’s vitally important we pass on this knowledge to help protect our historic buildings for future generations.
“We’re looking for people with the potential to become expert craftspeople and who are committed to pursuing careers in the heritage sector in the UK. If you think you’d fit the bill we’d love to hear from you.”
