Up to 20 volunteers are needed in Lincolnshire to become ‘Master Gardeners’- supporting communities to grow their own produce.
The project has been running for two years with 58 Lincolnshire Master Gardeners helping 370 people, and promoting the benefits of food growing.
One of their main duties is to support households who are starting out in growing their own, but Master Gardeners also carry out events, talks, and practical demonstrations.
A training session for volunteers will be held on June 1 and 2.
Rick Aron, Lincolnshire Master Gardener Co-ordinator, said: “You don’t have to have huge amounts of gardening knowledge to volunteer! A few years growing experience and a passion for getting people involved is as important.”
