Major comedian Russell Howard is to perform in Skegness as he prepares for the launch of his sold-out arena tour ‘Wonderbox’, the Standard can exclusively reveal.
Howard, famous to television audiences across the UK for his work on Mock the Week and his eponymous ‘Good News’ show on BBC3, will perform at the Embassy Theatre early in 2014.
And the much sought after tickets are set to go on sale at 9.30am this Friday (July 19).
“Join Russell Howard, one of our funniest and most successful comedians, as he tries out material and warms up for his sold-out arena tour,” said a spokesperson.
“Russell returns to his first love, live stand-up with his first tour for three years and a show which looks set to be the hottest ticket of 2014.
“His 2011 sell-out UK tour included three sold out dates at London’s O2.
“This is your chance to see the star and creator of the award-winning hit TV show, Russell Howard’s Good News, back on stage at his favourite UK venues, on top of the world, doing what he does best.
His act is described by The Times as “Energetic, uncynical and, most importantly, very funny.”
Russell will perform at the Embassy Theatre on Thursday, February 13 at 8pm, as he tries out material and warms up for his sold-out arena tour.
Tickets for the show, priced at £16.50 go on sale at 9.30am this Friday. There will be NO reservations or sales before this date.
