Students set to travel to Borneo have organised a ceilidh to help raise money for the upcoming trip.
The students wish to thank Mr Baumber and his group ‘Rake Up’ for providing the music for the night and there will also be a raffle and an Easter Egg tombola. “Anyone wearing a significant amount of tartan on the night, will be given a free strip of raffle tickets,” said a spokesperson.
The small group of Year 11 and 12 students are travelling to Borneo for a month this summer, when they will be taking part in voluntary work through Camps International.
The Skegness Grammar group will be holding the ceilidh music event at the Vine Hotel, Drummond Road, Skegness, on Friday, March 1 from 7.30pm for 8pm.
Anyone spring cleaning their wardrobe can also drop items in a textile recycling unit (pictured) situated in the pavilion car park. Tickets cost £6; this includes nibbles.
Tickets are available from Skegness Grammar School from 9am to 4pm Monday, February 25 to Friday, March 1 on 01754 610000.
