Rotary success for musicians

A young Skegness singer has made it through to the latest final of a UK rotary competition.

Holly Wathall won the honour of representing the Rotary District of Lincolnshire and Yorkshire at the next round in York in April after enjoying success in the Rotary District Young Musician Competition at The Terry O’Toole Theatre in Lincoln on Saturday.

The local Rotarians have also moved to congratulate two other youngsters who competed in Lincoln in the instrumentalist section.

Eloise Horton played Wedgewood Blue and The Heart Asks Pleasure first, while David Turner decided to perform Rondo alla Torca and Moonlight Sonata.

Both attend April’s Piano Academy in Skegness and were praised for their talents.

Carole Cameron from the Rotary Club of Skegness said she was so proud to be there and listen to “such perfect performances”.
