Pellow in Blood Brothers run
WET Wet Wet legend Marti Pellow is set to appear in one of the West End’s most acclaimed musicals when Blood Brothers rolls into Skegness next week for a six-day residency.
Blood Brothers will run from Monday, October 15 to Saturday, October 20 inclusive at the Embassy Theatre, and there are plenty of opportunities to catch the show - with no fewer than eight performances scheduled for its Skegness run.
“West End star and multi-platinum selling artist Marti Pellow joins the cast of Blood Brothers for one spectacular week in Skegness,” promised a spokesperson.
“The Wet Wet Wet front-man and music legend will take on the role of Narrator in the critically acclaimed smash hit musical.
“Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, seperated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.
“The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.
“Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers, and Bill Kenwright’s production, having recently celebrated its 23rd phenomenal year in London, continues to enjoy standing ovations at every devastating performance.
“No wonder Blood Brothers is now ‘the musical for all time’,” they added.
The show will run on October 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 at 7.30pm, with a later 8pm start on Saturday, October 20. There will also be two matinee performances on Wednesday, October 17 at 2.30pm and Saturday, October 20 at 4pm.
Tickets vary in cost depending on the day and time of the performance. Adult tickets range from £21.50 to £30, OAPs from £22 to £25 (although full adult prices apply for some performances) and £14 for children.
