Skegness’s iconic mascot is set to leave his home town for some well deserved pampering and beauty therapy, it has been announced.

The Jolly Fisherman statue in Compass Gardens will be removed in the ‘next few days’ for around a fortnight, when damage to his arms, legs, and hands will be repaired.

He will also receive a new pipe and will be acid stripped and recoated.
