Finalists revealed in Best Kept 2012

THREE towns and villages in the Standard’s area have made it through to the final round of the Best Kept Awards for 2012.

Burgh le Marsh, Friskney and East Keal have seen off stiff competition to make it through to the final 20 of the Lincolnshire Best Kept Towns and Villages competition.

Portfolio holder for economic development and planning at East Lindsey District Council, Coun Craig Leyland said: “I am delighted that a number of towns and villages across East Lindsey have been shortlisted in the Best Kept Awards for 2012.

“I wish all those communities that have made the final, the best of luck in the judging as we move forward.”

The winners in each of the three categories will be announced in October.
