Alford Silver Band will make the first of four visits this year to Tower Gardens, Skegness this coming Sunday (April 28).

The band will be entertaining visitors to the Gardens between 2pm and 4pm with a free concert under the baton of musical director Steve Walker.

This public engagement is an opportunity to hear the hugely popular band, which has recently been booked to perform at a number of private functions, including a wedding, a Council’s civic service reception and birthday party.

“We do get a good variety of engagements,” commented band chairman Martin Briggs. “They all bring different pressures with the variety of the music we need to perform at each. But we enjoy them all, and it’s great that we always get such positive feedback.”

The band will be back again at the Gardens on Sunday, May 12 for those unable to make Sunday’s performance, or for those who just can’t get enough of the band’s entertainment.

Further information about this busy band can be obtained from the band secretary, Jane Taylor on 01507 466330, or via secretary@alfordsilverband.co.uk.
