EDITOR - I am writing in response to a letter in the June 3 issue of the Skegness Standard entitled East Lindsey 'saturated with factory farms'.
I would like to add to this letter as this is an issue that many suffer from, but East Lindsey District Council seems to think that these units are not an issue.
I would like to know if ELDC ever looks at a density map when an application comes in.
I ask this because I read that ELDC has just supported an application for some more units within three miles of Alford.
Had they looked at a density map it would show more than 84 poultry units in the Alford area which is more than two million birds.
Why does ELDC keep approving more poultry units?
