EDITOR - Re: sand on the promenade. It is pleasing to see other local people raising this issue.
I asked the then Mayor, Ken Milner, at the start of the monthly town council meeting early last year about Lagoon Walk and the town clerk undertook to write to East Lindsey District Council about it.
Clearly that has had no effect. It is time someone actually did something. What about using the community service scheme, again as suggested by another correspondent last year?
Wasn't there something in the national press not so long ago about a pilot scheme whereby local residents could suggest suitable projects?
ELDC needs to look at what is actually needed in Skegness by coming into the town themselves. Come on Nigel Howells and your senior directors.
Find out for yourselves what is generating revenue for the council and do something to improve it, rather than spending our money on consultants and yet more staff.
