Editor - I have a kiosk on the seafront north bracing, Skegness, which joins on to Lagoon Walk.
We open every day and I can say the last time anyone moved any sand off Lagoon Walk was in May 2008, and that was by a contractor the council paid to bring in to do the job.
So my question, does James Gilbert have a secret invisible team working the
re to clear the sand?
I am sure every person who tries to walk down there knows the answer. So come on, James, don't wee down my back and tell me its raining.
The council's large tractor with a big bucket on the front came and I asked the driver why he did not scoop the sand up. He said he had been told not to touch Lagoon Walk.
I can only assume it's in case he runs over the invisible team.
With the elections coming soon I think it's time the local councillors who represent Skegness should start getting our money's worth from East Lindsey. People who visit Skegness want to walk down and see the sea, but anyone in a wheelchair or with pushchairs, have no chance.,
I did a quick survey of 100 visitors to the beach, and asked what they thought, and everyone thought Lagoon Walk should be a priority, not a last resort after everyone starts moaning about it.
