EDITOR - During a recent holiday in Skegness, I had an asthma attack and found that my inhaler was not working properly so my husband had to take me to the local hospital.
I cannot thank the staff of Skegness Hospital enough, or reiterate how impressed we were with the speed and efficiency with which I was treated.
I arrived at the accident and emergency department at 9pm, spoke to the receptionist, who took my details, address, GP details etc, and was asked to sit down and wait to see a doctor.
I was attended by the doctor, treated on a nebuliser and had my inhaler replaced, and was back on my way out by 9.35pm.
In my hometown of Bridlington, this would have taken three to five hours at Bridlington Hospital.
Congratulations to Skegness Hospital for such exemplary service and thank you for making my visit a lot less of an ordeal than it could have been, and couldn't Bridlington Hospital take a leaf out of its book?
