TONY Hadley is not a man who rests on his laurels.
He is about to embark on his second tour following his win on celebrity reality show Reborn in the USA, alongside co-star Peter Cox.
Tony made his name as lead singer with Spandau Ballet during the 80s. He then spent some time away from the limelight working on the corporate circuit, in the UK and abroad, and collaborating with other artists.
He says: "I had to put my nose to the grindstone and just work hard at convincing people Tony Hadley could cut it on the live circuit."
He is having a lot of fun enjoying his second coming and Reborn certainly helped him get to where he is today.
He explained: "I have been very, very busy and then Reborn just ramped it up a few more gears."
He confesses he went in to Reborn wanting to win but not taking himself too seriously.
Now he is about to tour the UK again with 80s stablemate Peter Cox, of Go West fame.
He says: "Many people think he should have been in the final with me anyway. We have known each other for years and we have the same management.
"The two of us have distinctive voices and we bond together quite well."
He visited Skegness on tour last year and is looking forward to entertaining a Skegness audience again.
He said: "It was a great gig. We had a great reception."
He added as the weather was good he had some fun in the fair and bought some Skeggy rock!
Tony Hadley and Peter Cox will appear at Skegness Embassy Theatre on March 11. For tickets call 01754 768333.
