Monday, 9.52am - TWENTY-seven teams competed for the coveted trophy in the annual Skegnes Church Farm Museum quiz.
The quiz, held at the Imperial cafe, Castleton Boulevard, was hotly contested this year with two teams sharing first place.

Quizzers were put through their paces with a video about Alfred Lord Tennyson, then a call my bluff style section where contestants had to uncover the real use of artefacts and then ten questions on Lincolnshire personalities.

The senior section was jointly won by the Skegness Hoteliers and Skegness Playgoers. The junior prize was won by Second Skegness Guides.

The quiz is one of two fundraising events held annually by the Friends of Church Farm Museum. The next event will be the garden party on August 3, from 2pm.

There will be music from Alford Town Band, stalls, games, clowns and, of course, the opportunity to see the museum.

If you would like to know more about the museum or the Friends of Church Farm Museum contact secretary Jean Stollery on 01754 612984.
