Friday - IT'S that time again when we all want to be out and about soaking up the sun, well here's a good idea of how to do just that.

Wash week 2008 offers the opportunity for readers to explore the great heritage of The Wash and its hinterlands from Saturday, August 2, to Sunday, August 10. The event is being organised by Tammy Smalley who is the Wash Estuary Project Officer.

From Skegness to Boston there will be events focussing on: the high tide of Gibraltar Point, wandering the roads and rivers of Boston, looking at urban wildlife at Boston's Witham Way Country Park or at Skegness Tower Gardens or a stroll in the morning along the sea front, wildlife cruise or down on the weapons range with the RAF.

The Wash Week events leaflet will be available at Tourist Information Centres, council offices, libraries and some other sites.

For a leaflet to be posted to your home call the Wash Estuary Strategy Group on 01406 425 518.

You can also find more information on the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust website www.linctrust.org.uk.
