CADS perform Robin Hood in Mummer style

Wednesday, 9.36am -SKEGNESS Playgoers Children's Amateur Dramatics Society (CADS) performed a version of The Ballad of Robin Hood in true Mummers style at St Clements Community Hall.
A spokesperson for the Playgoers said: "Thanks must be given to Margaret Jarvis, Emma Hrycak and Sarah Quimby for all their hard work in putting this play together and especially to the children who made this an enjoyable evening for us.

"They are certainly an asset to our group and we hope they continue performing their skills.

"We would also like to thank all who attended and supported the children."

l Skegness Playgoers are celebrating their 60th Play Festival which will be staged at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness from Monday, June 2 until Saturday, June 7 with performances beginning at 7.30pm each evening.

On June 2 Boston Playgoers will present Don't Dress for Dinner and on June 3 The Sharnbrook Mill Theatre will present 'Three Tall Women.'

Woman in Mind will be staged by Skegness Playgoers on Wednesday, June 4 and the Lyndsey Rural Players will stage The Shell Seekers on Thursday, May 5.

Friday, June 6 will be a one act play night with The Proposal by Horncastle Theatre Company, Dial 01754 for Murder by the Scothern Players and 'September Revisited' by Skegness Playgoers.

The festival will be rounded off with The Gut Girls by Horncastle Theatre Company on Saturday, June 7 and Sally Noble GoDA will be the adjudicator.

Skegness Playgoers will also perform Woman in Mind by Alan Aykbourn on June 19, 20 and 21 at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness. Tickets are £7 for adults, £6 for concessions and £1 per accompanied child.

Season tickets for the entire event are £30.
