EAGLE-eyed spotters kept a watch out for whales and dolphins off Skegness at the weekend as part of a National Whale and Dolphin Watch event.
The volunteers set up their mini watch station at the end of the town’s pier from 10am to around 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
“We ran some sea watches as part of National Whale and Dolphin Watch weekend on July 28 and 29. Skegness Pier kindly agreed to let us set up at the end of the pier where we had volunteers armed with binoculars and telescopes keeping their eyes open for cetaceans, particularly harbour porpoise,” said Dave Miller, Coastal Action Zone Ranger. “It is part of a national scheme and we are also running a watch at the hide at Anderby Creek.
