Police in appeal after thieves steal van with pet Labrador inside - owner ‘desperate’ for dog’s return
Police have urged the public to be on the look-out for anyone trying to sell a 14-year-old Labrador named Tank after he was in a van which was stolen in Lincolnshire yesterday.
This incident took place between 8pm and 10pm last night (Monday) in Willingham Road, Market Rasen.
Thieves entered a yard in the road and stole a silver Transit van, registration WGO 7XZO.
“The van had a 14-year-old yellow Labrador called Tank in the back. Tank has scars on his face, a callous on his left leg and he walks with a limp,” said a spokesperson.
“The owner has had the dog since he was a puppy and his desperate for him to be returned.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or who sees this van anywhere, to call us immediately.
“We are also appealing for anyone who sees the dog, or who is offered it for sale, to get in touch.”
