Community Larder’s appeal to public for kind donations
The Community Larder based at The Salvation Army.
A CHARITABLE organisation in Skegness is appealing for food and cash donations from the public, so it can continue to provide help for needy people in the community.
The Community Larder which is based at the Salvation Army in Skegness and run by The Fellowship of Churches, East Lindsey District Council and The Salvation Army needs both these supplies to help the varying levels of needs from, individuals, families and the homeless in and around Skegness.
Food donations are used to make up emergency bags which can be given via a voucher scheme or by contacting the Salvation Army.
Donations can be brought to churches in Skegness or directly to The Salvation Army based in High Street, and should be made up of in-date tined and dried goods.
The tearoom based at the centre, will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during February and is open to everyone from 10am to 2pm and a ‘Jumble +’ takes place each Thursday from 9.30am till 12,30pm. To donate goods or money contact 01754 896772.
