The Jolly Fisherman’s Skegness homecoming expected today
Skegness’s iconic mascot the Jolly Fisherman is returning to his hometown today (Wednesday) after several weeks of well-deserved pampering.
East Lindsey District Council has confirmed that Jolly will be hoisted back on his plinth in Compass Gardens, Skegness around noon.
Damage to Jolly’s legs arms and hands was due for repair after his removal last month and he has also been acid-stripped and given a new pipe.
