Village News: Friskney
WI - The main event at the WI’s September meeting was a ‘Fun Auction’, which lived up to its name.
A large selection of items were auctioned, and all proceeds raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Care. The raffle was won by Sue Winslow.
The competition was for ‘Your Best Bargain’, and was won by Jayne Richardson. Pauline Ghest came second and Hazel Helliwell was in third place.
The flower competition was won by Hilary Jarvis. In second place was Sally Hall and Hazel Helliwell came third.
The October meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at 7.30pm in Friskney Village Hall. The speaker will be Mr Catling, on the subject of Self Defence. Visitors welcome.
On Friday, October 12 at 7pm in the Village Hall, there will be a Fashion Show by Bon Marche, with proceeds for Macmillan Cancer Care.
There will also be a Jumble Sale on Saturday, October 13 at 2pm in the Village Hall.
