Village News: Friskney

FRISKNEY WI - Members of Friskney WI had to call on their creative skills this month for a talk given by Priscilla Middleton on Chinese painting.

Supplied with brushes and paints, and with trepidation on the part of those who had not painted since their schooldays, some very artistic creations were produced.

This month’s raffle was won by Maureen Holmes.

The competition for an Egg Cup was won by Margaret Rushworth. Second was Maureen Holmes, with Jayne Richardson in third.

The flower of the month competition was won by Margaret Rushworth, with Ann Kirk and Liz Burbridge in second and third places respectively.

The September meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 11 at 7.30pm in Friskney Village Hall.

The main event of the evening will be a ‘Fun Auction’, the proceeds of which will go to the Macmillan Cancer charity.

Visitors are very welcome.
