Alford Rainbows in jubilee party
THE Alford District Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers gathered at Nellie Doubleday Camp in Trusthorpe on Sunday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The theme for the day focused on the decades of the Queen’s reign.
Activities and crafts included Union Flag puzzles, cup cakes, Space Hopper games, hair decorations, disco dancing and butterflies from recycled paper.
A barbecue was donated by the Mablethorpe and District Trefoil Group and guests for the afternoon were The Division Commissioner for South Lindsey Division, Jean Harrison, and the County Commissioner Mrs Wendy McCullum.
The afternoon’s final event was the planting of a Royal Oak from the Sandringham Estate.
All Girls and Leaders who attended were given a certificate of attendance which included a diamond to mark their attendance.
