Alford council in cemetery apology
ALFORD Town Council has apologised for the “recent poor state” of the local cemetery.
The problems have arisen after recent continued bad weather and some staffing issues.
“The maintenance contractors employed in April have been unable to fulfil the terms of the contract,” said a spokesperson.
“New contractors have been employed and work has already started to rectify the problem.
“Visitors to the cemetery are asked to be patient as it will take a few visits to get the cemetery back to an acceptable standard,” they added.
