ALFORD-based alarm company Safelincs was honoured for outstanding achievement by Government Opportunities magazine.
The company won a highly commended award in the best small business or third sector service provider award for its approach to customers and relationship with buyers.

Managing director Harald Dewick-Eisele said: "It feels very rewarding to receive this award.

"We won a European tender by Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council to supply all of Kirkless with CO monitor alarms.

"We offered substantially more than was directly required, we created a specific product for Kirklees with 50 per cent longer warranty than required and at a very good price."

Managing editor of GO magazine Grahame Steed congratulated Safelincs on its achievement.
