A BARBECUE was the perfect way to end the latest session of the What's Cooking? Club at John Spendluffe Technology College, Alford.
Food technology teacher Sandy Kirk runs the after-school sessions to teach parents, guardians and students how to cook delicious healthy meals.

She said: "A very pleasant end to yet another enjoyable session for me, and it was also lovely to hear the many comments of appreciation from the parents and children on how much they enjoyed themselves."

Everyone who took part was presented with a certificate and a healthy schools cookbook to encourage them to continue the good habits they had learned at home.

To celebrate the end of the course, people brought in tasty treats and salads, and local burgers and sausages were cooked.
