ALFORD Civic Trust raised £1,400 for Alford Manor House with an auction on Saturday.
Auctioneers were Grant Allan, trust chairman, and Bob Clifford from the Windmill Hotel.

Everything was donated for the auction and there 359 lots.
The best price was just over £400 for a mobility scooter, but a piano accordion made £61, a concertina went for £27 and two scientific balancing scales went for £37 and £25.
The cheapest lot was a set of records for just 10p.

Brian and Bryn Harrison kept a check on the lots and took the money from successful bidders.

Anything which did not sell will be put on the Tuesday auction on the market, run by Bob Clifford.
