THE Funk Bus will be coming to a town near you next month.
Difficult to miss, the funky style of painting on the outside of the bus has been designed by youngsters to appeal to the 11-19 age group.

The bus, an East Lindsey District Council project, will be parked for one Friday in three in Alford so young
people can enjoy a range of activities on offer between 4-7pm.
It will also visit Anderby and Huttoft one Wednesday in three, 4-6pm at Anderby and 7-9pm at Huttoft.

Initially, the bus is part of a two-year project, aimed at keeping youngsters off the street.
It has on board three games consoles, two PCs with internet access, an artist's light box, and a Nintendo Wii fitness game as well as arts and crafts, board games and sports equipment.

The bus will be free for 11-19 year olds who will be given a say on what music and games they would like to see in the bus.

Last Monday it was parked at Alford Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School during lunch hour and received a very positive response from pupils.

The project has cost £250,000 and has been supported by the National Lottery.
Matthew Archer, from ELDC, said: "It's a fantastic project for us to have been involved with. There is something for everyone on the bus and we are keen for the young people to have an input on what they would like to see on the bus."

Young people can text or e-mail their comments and feedback on the bus, or just send their name and where they live so they can be told directly when the bus is in their area.
