YOUNG students got a taste of secondary school when they took part in Alford's John Spendluffe Technology College's open day.
Prospective students from local primary schools and the parents of new students at the college were given an insight into what lessons and facilities are available at the school.
Guided tours were given by students and people were able to watch science demonstrations and have a go at simple activities.
