07/05/08 - Morris dancers welcome in spring in style

ALFORD Morris Dancers were joined by a new side, The Black Bulls from Horncastle, when they welcomed in May Day on Thursday.

The sides began dancing at 5.15am and continued for a 45-minute display to a few early risers at Alford Five Sailed Windmill.

They were treated to an English breakfast in the tea rooms before leaving to start their jobs.

The Alford side began this traditional greeting the dawn on May Day to welcome spring several years ago, but this was the first year they have been joined by another side.
