07/04/10 Enterprising students rewarded for the 'lovely' work

THE YOUNG Enterprise Innovation Awards area final was held at Louth's Riverhead Theatre last week.
Sixth form students from Alford's Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School battled it out with teams from schools in Louth, Caistor and Horncastle.

The teams had to set up their own businesses to get a real taste of the world of work.The Streetwise team from Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Horncastle was named Young Enterprise Lindsey Area Company of 2010.

Other awards: Best trade stand: Lovelies, Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Alford; Best company report: Streetwise, Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle; Best presentation: Streetwise; Most innovative product: Demeter, Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle.

Joseph Siddall, chairman of the Lindsey Area Board of Young Enterprise, said the quality of entries this year was 'outstanding'.
