Gainsborough Trinity's Alex Wiles admits playing the waiting game is tough
Wiles joined Trinity from Tadcaster in January and is one of the few players confirmed to have a contract at Northolme next season.
“It is frustrating, I was enjoying my football at Trinity. It is obviously a strange time for everyone.

“You just have to try and look past it and hopefully get some sort of pre-season and normality. It is just a waiting game.

“I am sure we will have a good team and give it a go when we get back, we just have to look forward to it whenever we get back.”
And whenever the action does return Wiles is keen to see Trinity get back to where he says they belong.

“Trinity should be a Conference North club, it might be a struggle getting back to normality next year but we still want to stick to our aims and get out of this division.
“Curtis’ ethics are very much a work hard and wear your heart on your sleeve and he will make sure he brings in the right people.
“People will work hard and show a fighting spirit for Gainsborough next year and we hope to get promoted.”

“A lot of clubs will be looking to save money and reduce squad sizes,” he said.
“There is gonna be much more chances for young lads to get involved. It might be a place on the bench and a chance to step up when someone gets injured and get their career going.
“There won’t be big squads and I think some young lads have got a good chance of getting a game next year.”
