TWO picnic bench tables have been placed in Lea Park in memory of Mick Ford, a committee member of the Friends of Lea Park, who died last May.
Mick was himself a sculptor who loved working in the woodlands.
The benches were bought using donations from villagers and a bequest in Mick’s name.
Village joiner Simon Chapman made the benches, which are situated so people can watch cricket on the field, with the community orchard behind them.
