Remembering Holton le Moor stalwarts
Tony and Barbara Pywell both died recently and last week a planter was installed, with a plaque, in memory of the couple.
Both were highly regarded by friends and neighbours, and were heavily involved in village life, helping in the running of the church, village hall and school.

Hide AdBarbara had been the president of the WI and Tony the chair of the Village Meeting.
It seemed fitting to install a planter in their memory as they both had a great passion for gardening, and two of their sons were present for the short unveiling ceremony.
Many members of the community also took part in ‘Tony Tidy Day’, undertaking some of the jobs the couple had previously quietly completed.
These included edging paths, litter picking and cleaning signs.
The day was rounded off with tea, cake and scones in the Moot Hall, again a great favourite of Tony and Barbara.
