A Market Rasen man is
taking on a new challenge next month when he opens his town centre veterinary
practice.

Dr Liviu Luca moved to the town last year with an
ambition to open up his own business.

His dreams will become a reality on April 1 with the grand opening of LucaVet, located at 27 Market Place.

Dr Luca says he is excited to welcome pets and their owners through the doors after spending several years as lead vet and a mentor at two practices.

He said: “I have been a lead vet for the past three or four years.

“I have also trained
between 10 and 20 vets in
recent years.

“I have decided now is the time to have a different
approach in the community of Market Rasen and I want to open my own place.”

Dr Luca says he is looking forward to working for himself alongside his head veterinary nurse Leigh Quinn and
receptionist Lindsay Elizabeth
Carratt.

He said: “I will be the lead vet and owner of
LucaVet.

“We are just at the beginning so we have a small team.

“Leigh and I worked together for a few years and when she heard I was
opening my own place she wanted to come and join me.

“We call ourselves Batman and Robin.
