Extra powers for Brigg wardens
The authority’s local wardens have become the first in the Humberside Police area to become part of the police’s Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS).
The accreditation gives them powers to seize alcohol and tobacco.

Hide AdSince August, 2015, community wardens have been dealing with enforcement issues.
Things such as fly-tipping, parking, litter, graffiti and dog fouling have all been under their remit.
Now the team has become accredited, wardens have the power to request the name and address of a person acting in an anti-social manner, together with the authority to confiscate alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco products from young people.
