Here we have action from the Boston Pushball Championships of 50 years ago.

The annual event, which was moved from Central Park to Boston Rugby Club after a few too many spectators decided to get involved in previous years, saw teams attempting to force a giant ball beyond their opponents.

Of the eight men’s teams, Boston Rugby Club were the victors, while ladies College Crackers defeated the Amorous Amazons in the final.
